48.  Best Racehorse to Riding Horse

        The Brace Family Trophy

Horses 15hh and over, 4 yrs old and over, rider to be 16 yrs and over on the 1st January 2011. Horse must compete under original name registered at Wetherbys and used while in training. Horse must have raced in 2 races either in National Hunt or on the flat, be registered in Wetherbys main studbook and a copy of the passport must be supplied to the Show Secretary. Classes to be judged in a Riding Horse format and may be ridden or required to give an individual show or both. Must be plaited, no stallions.

 

 Best Side Saddle Rider.

 This award will be presented to the rider achieving the highest number of points in side saddle equitation classes run under Side Saddle Association Rules. In all cases it is the rider, not the horse, that qualifies. To be eligible for this award, riders must be 16 years of age or over on 1st January 2011 for the Adult Award or under 16 years on 1st January 2011 for the Junior Award. The Novice Award is open to riders from Adult and Junior Classes.

59.  Best Leading Rein Pony, not exceeding 122cms most suitable for, and to be ridden by, a child not having 

       attained his/her 8th birthday on 1/1/2011.

i) In Leading Rein Classes the rein MUST go directly from the bit to the rider’s hand, with no extra aid or attachment to, or on the saddle. The reins must be a normal length and not knotted or stitched together at a shorter length.

ii) In Lead Rein classes handles on the saddles are permitted but the reins MUST NOT be attached to the saddle or the handle.
